Biography
I was born
in Nashville, Tennessee in 1951. My wife Jane and I have a stepson,
a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter. I practice as a medical-surgical nurse.
I am blessed to have been computing since 1988, and I've been a WBS teacher
since 1995.
Spiritual
Background
In 1965, I was baptized
into Christ. Since then, I have ministered in several ways here in
Tennessee: God has used me as a local minister, a counselor, a nurse, a Bible
teacher, and served on both a missions' committee and a local evangelism
committee. I have
also participated in several mission trips.
Favorite Bible Verse
"I can do all things
through Christ which strengtheneth me. " -Philippians 4:13
Why I am a WBS Teacher
I am able to obey the
great commission (Matthew 28.18-20) from here in Memphis and I am grateful
for this opportunity. I have enjoyed communicating with hundreds of people
from many places inside and outside of the USA. The Internet gives us
a great opportunity to obey the great commission as we meet people we would
never have met without it!
Campaigns
God has allowed me to take part in spreading the message to people in Virginia,
east Tennessee, the Ukraine, and twice in India.
Hobbies / Interests
I enjoy Bible study, family time, reading, computing, collecting art, teaching,
physical fitness, and travel. I also serve as a Big Brother and enjoy
my Little Brother.
Favorite Study Topics
I love to study suffering and joy. I have seen much suffering as a
minister and nurse and see it as a universal experience. In Job and
in the New Testament (especially in the life of Jesus, Romans, 2 Corinthians,
Phillipians, James, 1 Peter and Revelation) we see God's provision for our
hope and joy in the midst of our suffering. The realization that we
can suffer and possess joy at the same time is wonderful and true (John 16.33)!
